Penn State vs Wisky Prediction

OK, this is a tough one.  We took care of business after a slow start our last night game at home against Illinois, and we sputtered a bit against Purdue last week on the road.  Wisconsin should give the Lions their biggest challenge yet.  The Badgers, despite having two losses, are a very good football team.  Throw in that the game will be played on national television, under the lights, at Camp Randall Stadium and the task is even more difficult for Penn State.

The key to the entire game will be how the front seven handle the Wisconsin running attack.  They have a tough running back in P.J Hill, and a very good offensive line.  If Penn State can force the Badgers to pass the ball by either completely shutting down the run or by getting out to a quick lead, then I believe that this game could actually be a blow out.

Stopping #39 needs to be a priority for Penn State Saturday night

I am not ready to predict that yet though, because Penn State hasn’t faced an offense like this yet, a more traditional ‘Big 10’ type of offense.  I am anxious to see how they perform.  If the game stays close and Wisconsin establishes their running game, the Badgers could pull off the upset.  I believe the line on this game is Penn State -5.5, and I am predicting that for the 7th time this season, Penn State won’t cover.

Penn State  28

Wisconsin  23

Like I said earlier, if PSU can shut down their running game, I think we could be looking at a score closer to 35-10, and that would make a great impression on the pollsters.  Stop the run, get out front early, and sit back and watch Penn State roll into the top 5 when the polls come out on Sunday.

LETS GO STATE!!!
